A Million Little Things

Day two of having an empty house so I thought I'd waste no time and work on another demo track. The end is kinda just an out take but thought I'd leave it in as it works as a trippy way to close things. anyway give 'er a listen and let me know what you think.

Drunken Jesus

Improved this with m'lady one drunken night several several moons ago. thought about re-recording it but i dunno I kinda dig the shitty/drunk-factor of it. I feel as though if it was polished it would be tacky. turn it up tho. volumes kinda low. Let me know if you think a more polished lo-fi recording would work.cause im on the fense.

On The Road

This is a trippy little song I put togather with my brother a little while ago. I think over all its pretty sick little song. One part of the vocals kinda sound a bit outta key (the lower ones on the "ooohhh") and it throws it off a bit but I never got around to cutting them out or rerecording them. I think its a cool little song none the less. It was done all instuments track by track one take so its not as good as it could be but i like it over all. Let me know what you think.

This is a rough 1 min little song clip I put together with a few friends to see if it was worth it to make a couple more songs. we did this a few months ago. We whipped it togather in like 30 mins and its pretty rough but I like the sound we acheived over all.

Rocking Chair.

This is from a band I played guitar for last year called the Rockman Lovers (we took the title from an Ice Ice Baby lyric). We whipped up this little diddy to put on our schools compilation CD and I think it's a cool mindless cliche rock tune. Jammed it out instrumentally in about 10 minutes. Overall it turned out decent its not the best peice of music i've put out by far but it was just a fun little project. We recorded it in my schools studio so its ok quality. unfortuneatly the engineers were kinda shitty so some of it isn't up to the potential that it could be with the decent equiptment we have their. Watch out for the ugly harminization effect on the vocals aswell. yikes. Our singer wasn't the greatest but he got the job done. Also if you like inuendos listen to the lyrics you might get a nice laugh (We wanted to see how much we could get away with before the teacher in charge of the CD caught onto what the meaning was haha).

Run Away!

This is a jam I did a while back with my brother and a friend. It's not really a song just a crazy, ripped out of our mind jam but I think it's a fun listen. Its me on Electric/Vocals Sometimes, My Brother on "Supporting" Acoustic/vocals sometimes, and my friends on "main" acoustic. I think you guys will either really enjoy it or hate it so I'm curioius to find out which it will be. Its all 100% improvised by the way to so if it sucks thats my saving grace ahaha. anyway check it out and let me know what you think.

Safety and Comfort

Had an empty house today so I figured I'd make use of it and do some recording. Came up with this indie/psychedelic pop thing. I was kinda going for a a rough recording quality and considering im using the microphone from a computer headset i think the quality of the recording is decent.

Listen stoned with headphones for best result. I tried to layer some trippy noisy flaming lips shit tracks that are kinda hard to hear without headphones.

Anyway give 'er a listen and let me know what you think.

The Silvery Tides...

Couldn't fit the full title, it is called: The Silvery Tides of Donny Smeak.

It's just a short little number that I'm not sure what to think of. Its dirived from a trippy poem I wrote and then I just came up with some guitar and bass and drums for it and recorded it while the inspiration was fresh. Also just to give you the heads up, The vocals a mixed a tad low. I tried to fix it but I recorded the Vocals and Guitar at the same time so it was kinda tough. Just bear with it if you can. Anyway Give her a listen and let me know what you think.

Tripped out

Check out this trippy little diddy I whipped together today. I put a lot effects on the vocals so its hard to understand but thats kinda the sound I was going for. It might be a bit to tripped out for some, but I like how it overall turned out. Let me know what you think.

Ok I think I got it working

"Where the fuck are my shoes? ...No Seriously"

by Bert McKinley

Insure my face and eye lids
My heads buried in the sand

We lost our minds together
Let’s send out the search party

Posters on the telephone poles
I kind of want mine back

You made it out with timing
Why you ever coming back

Been eating all your sadness
And I’ve lost my appetite

Can’t buy some early dinner
Cause I just cant find my shoes

Posters on the telephone poles
I kind of want mine back

You made it out with timing
why you ever coming back

My face and eye lids
My heads buried in the sand

We lost our minds together
Let’s send out the search party

Posters on the telephone poles
I kind of want mine back

Why you ever coming back

I've been fiddling with roughening up my vocal sound. Did i take it too far? (To a Bright Eyes/Elliot Smith extreme)

Waterworld on Acid

Trippy little Jam thing I've been working on. Some of it was done with a slide so it gives it a cool element. Also I distorted my acoustic for the one rhythm part and plug it direct into the board and it gave me the coolest spacyiest distortion sound. Its still kinda rough but give it a listen and let me know what you think. It kinda craps out at the end.
